EURES: Professional mobility in Europe

The EURES service for those looking for work in Europe

EURES is a collaborative network set up and coordinated by the European Commission to facilitate the free circulation of workers within EU Member States, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein (EEA States) and Switzerland. The network’s partners include public sector employment services, trade unions and employer organisations.
EURES includes numerous projects and events that aim to promote mobility in Europe.

Who is it for?

Every EU citizen with the right to reside and work in a Member State, whose free movement is guaranteed by the Treaty of the European Union (articles 3, 39 and 40) and  community regulations.
Every employer with a registered office in one of the 31 Member States of the European Economic Area or Switzerland and a valid VAT code or national registration number.

Projects and Events

EOJD – European Online Job Days

The European Online Job Days are dynamic recruitment events that facilitate interaction between those looking for employment and potential employers. The European Online Job Days allow employers and workers to meet virtually without being physically present at an event. Hundreds of events take place throughout Europe every year.
Drop'pin@EURES - placement and apprenticeship opportunities
The Drop'pin platform is a tool that facilitates relations and partnerships between European organisations, allows targeted searches of numerous job and training opportunities based on, for example, personal professional profile and country of interest. The offers, primarily for young people, come for private companies, NGOs and various institutes and bodies, and offer opportunities for apprenticeships, placements, training (including e-learning) and voluntary work.

YfEj 4.0 – Your First Eures Job
Your first EURES job is a EURES network project with two aims. First, it seeks to help young people between the age of 18 and 35 from EU Member States, Iceland and Norway to find a job, a placement, or an apprenticeship in another EU country. Second, it helps companies to find the staff they need. The project provides different services, including, information, recruitment, matching and funding both for young applicants and for employers.

EURADRIA – EURES in the border regions (EURES - T)
Friuli Venezia Giulia is part of “Euradria”, the border region also including Slovenia e Croazia. The main objective of the partnership is to facilitate the mobility of workers in the border area to help match supply and demand and to identify and remove obstacles to mobility by offering support in recruitment for employers and employees.  The service is also involved in protecting workers’ rights, as well as fiscal and pension issues..
