The aim of CREID is to create a portable device for a real-time estimation of the level of carbohydrates and so to allow the subject to practice sport safely. The estimate is done by interfacing a heart rate monitor to the device and then evaluating the actual exercise intensity.

The currently developed prototype is not portable yet, but it is possible to think about different implementations that meet this important feature.

The data regarding the therapy, the characteristics of the subject and the kind of activity can be inserted in the system using a PC interface or directly on the device.

Future versions will also allow the user to store and export the history of past sessions with the desired level of detail, in order to monitor the training progression.
