Results

We have compared our method with some of the most common tone mapping algorithms described in the literature. Four high dynamic range images (two interior and two exterior scenes) have been tone mapped with eight algorithms. The algorithms we have examined include both global and spatially-adaptive techniques.
The results of the contrast gain measures over four images and eight dynamic range compression algorithms have been summarized in the following table.
