CGG is a fully integrated Geoscience company based in UK providing leading geological, geophysical and reservoir capabilities to its broad base of customers primarily from the global oil and gas industry.
It is a recognized leader in subsurface seismic imaging, subsurface processing, particularly in the areas of depth imaging, 4D processing and reservoir characterization.
As part of the eight week internship programme (2nd July 2019 to Friday 23rd August 2019) students will be working in a project focused team responsible for building 3D subsurface images from reflection seismic soundings, all of which are constructed using data processing modules on CPU and GPU computer systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Penultimate year of a Geophysics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics degree
• Passion and enthusiasm for analytical and problem solving challenges
• Expertise in an area of applied mathematics/physics/data science
• Open communication and collaboration with teams and clients
• Enthusiastic attitude towards learning and flexibility to adapt to new challenges or changes in direction
• Ideally, but not essentially, some experience in programming
