Stefano Seriani

Mobile robots, machine vision, space robotics, compliant systems, additive manufacturing

Stefano Seriani, born in Trieste (Italy) in 1986, received his B.E. (2010) and his M.Sc in mechanical engineering (2012) from the University of Trieste, Italy. He received his Ph.D. in April 2016 at the same University. In 2016 he was research fellow at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the german space agency (DLR), working on compliant robotic actuators for modular hybrid legged-wheeled rovers for space exploration. He is, from February 2017, research fellow at University of Trieste, working on space robotics, mobile robots and industrial swarm robotics. He holds an ongoing research and consulting collaboration with the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the DLR. He is holder of the master degree course Special Machineries and Processes for the Engineering Academic Double-Degree in Production Engineering and Management.
His research interests include mobile robots, space robotics, applied mechanics, computer-vision, and additive manufacturing.
