Short bio

Massimiliano Comisso was born in Trieste, Italy. He accomplished the Laurea and the Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering and Information Engineering, respectively, at the University of Trieste. He worked at Alcatel on optical communication systems, collaborated with Enteos in microstrip antenna design, and with Danieli Automation in electromagnetic sensor modeling and development. Currently, Massimiliano Comisso is Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA) of the University of Trieste, tenuring the courses of Communication Networks, and Waveguide/Optical Networks.

He is IEEE Member of the Communications Society, and is author/coauthor of more than one hundred scientific papers published in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He serves as referee for several international journals and as TPC member in various international conferences, including WCSP, WCNC, ICC, GLOBECOM. Massimiliano Comisso has been Best Student Paper Award Finalist at GLOBECOM 2006 and received the Best Paper Award at CAMAD 2009. His research studies involve distributed wireless networks, millimeter-wave communications, satellite-5G integration, antenna array synthesis, and fractal antennas. His extra-professional interests involve Chinese martial arts.
