I have profound experience in cloning, expressing in different hosts, and purifying recombinant proteins and protein complexes, as well as knowledge of the different techniques for biochemical and structural characterization of full length protein and/or their domains. I have good knowledge of protein protein interaction techniques, like ELISA, pull down and SPR, I have been testing the activities of proteins gaining experience with assays to measure DNA binding, DNA helicase and RNA/DNA exonuclease activity using fluorescent and radioactive based assays. I also acquired competence in structure biology techniques such as SAXS data collection and analysis, NMR, protein crystallization and Electron Microscopy sample preparation.
I really enjoy working and developing new approaches to investigate molecular mechanism and I have worked in multidisciplinary team as well as in laboratories belonging to other research institutes and Universities. I have supervised several students in the laboratory including Master degree and PhD students, and young postdoc fellow.
