We are very pleased to invite you to attend to the 9th European Conference on psychological theory and research on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (formerly known as the PTRMR-conference) which will take place at the University of Trieste from Thursday, June 14, until Saturday, June 16, 2012.
ECIDD was first established in 1996 under the name PTRMR. Recently, the scientific committee has decided to change its name to ECIDD, so as to be in line with current terminology (see for instance the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities).
ECIDD represents the most important forum for the European researchers in the field of intellectual and associated disabilities. It is being held every other year and the previous meetings have been held in Frankfurt and in Geneva.
The meeting will include symposia, individual paper sessions and poster sessions. There will also be keynotes, Michèle Mazzocco, Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota (US) and Chris Oliver, University of Birmingham (England, UK). In addition, a pre-organized symposium on "What has changed in the last 20 years in the field of intellectual disabilities and which could the future changes be?" will take place with the participation of Fredi Buchel, Cesare Cornoldi, Yannick Courbois and Ursula Scharnhorst.
Priority will be given to participants whose early registration has been received before March 30, 2012.
We
are looking forward to meeting you in Trieste and we hope that the
conference
will be an exciting and enriching experience.
